Master Brian Marsh - 4th Dan

Brian Marsh began his Tang Soo Do training in the early 90′s in the little town of Butner, NC along with his father (Master Ken Marsh) and 2 brothers (K.J. & Matt). In 1992 Brian was awarded Black belt (1st Dan) by Grandmaster Jae Joon Kim. In 1993 at the age of 11 Brian was promoted to 2nd Dan. From that time, he was in and out of Tang Soo Do for the next 14 years. He served 6 years in the US Air Force, got married to his high school sweet heart and now resides in Cary NC. In Nov. 2007 Brian joined Cary Tang Soo Do under the tutelage of Master Marsh. In 2008, he was promoted to 3rd Dan. He has since tested for and has been promoted to 4th Dan, Master rank by Grand Master Boliard.
Mr. Alden Galvanek - 3rd Dan

Alden Galvanek came to Cary Tang Soo Do after studying several martial arts styles, including; Tae Kwon Do, Kung Fu and Jeet Kune Do. After spending 8 years studying and searching for the right martial arts style, Mr. Galvanek was pleased to discover Master Ken Marsh teaching Tang Soo Do in Cary, NC. Mr. Galvanek has been training under the tutelage of Master Ken Marsh since he moved to North Carolina in 2005. After receiving his 1st Dan from Grand Master Saul Kim in August, 2009, Mr. Galvanek diligantely trained and attained 2nd Dan in 2010 and was promoted to Instructor by Master Ken Marsh. Most recently, Mr. Galvanek was promoted to 3rd Dan by Grand Master Boliard in April, 2012. Mr. Galvanek believes in the founding priciples of Tang Soo Do and operates on the basis that, ‘through consistant training, dedication and focus, one can become anything they want and attain any level of martial arts expertise they wish to.’ He loves training with Master Marsh, always pushing himself further down the path of martial arts and enjoys imparting the knowledge he gains to the wonderful students of Cary Tang Soo Do.
Mr. Jay Rocker – 2nd Dan

Mr. Rocker began his initial training in Shotokan Karate and Western Boxing during the late 1980′s. He learned many valuable lessons in discipline and self control that have stayed with him and continue to impact his martial arts training. In 2007, the loss of a family member motivated Mr. Rocker to begin searching for a martial arts school to help his son learn the same lessons in discipline, self control and self defense. After discovering Master Ken Marsh and Cary Tang Soo Do, both he and his son began training. In April 2011, Mr. Rocker attained the rank of 1st Dan from Grand Master Saul Kim. Most recently, Mr. Rocker was promoted to 2nd Dan by Grand Master Greg Boliard and was awarded his Instructor’s Certification by Master Ken Marsh in October 2012.
Mr. Alec Patchin – 2nd Dan

Mr. Patchin started training in 2006 with Master Marsh at the Hope Church facility. Mr. Patchin is the first black belt graduating to the rank of Dan from the Hope Church group.
Mr. Mark Heinze - 2nd Dan

Mr. Heinze has been training diligently with Master Marsh for several years. He was promoted to 1st Dan by Grand Master Boliard in April, 2012 and attained his 2nd Dan from Bo Kwan Jang Nim Marsh in March, 2013. Mark continues to train towards his next rank, while assisting other students better themselves. He also trains with his son and values the family environment that Cary Tang Soo Do fosters. Growth, dedication and positive reenforcement are some of the creeds that drive Mr. Heinze. He imparts these principles to those students he works with.
Mr. Nick Rocker – 1st Dan (Bo Kyo Sa Nim)
Nick began training at a young age at Cary Tang Soo Do. He earned his 1st Dan rank from Grandmaster Boliard in August, 2012 and plans on continuing his training. He enjoys working with the other Dan members and helping to improve the students at the school.
