School Instructors

In addition to receiving instruction from Master Marsh, students at Cary Tangs Soo Do also benefit from the skills and attention of the schools two other black belt instructors.

Mr. Brian Marsh - 3rd Dan

Brian Marsh began his Tang Soo Do training in the early 90's in the little town of Butner NC, along with his father (Master Ken Marsh) and 2 brothers (K.J. & Matt). In 1992 Brian was awarded Black belt (1st Dan) by Grandmaster Jae Joon Kim. In 1993 at the age of 11 Brian was promoted to 2nd Dan. From that time, he was in and out of Tang Soo Do for the next 14 years. He served 6 years in the US Air Force, got married to his high school sweet heart and now resides in Cary NC. In Nov. 2007 Brian joined Cary Tang Soo Do under the tutelage of Master Marsh. He has since tested for and been promoted to 3rd Dan and received his instructor certificate.

Mr. Marshall Reu - 2nd Dan

Mr. Reu began his martial arts training under Master Marsh at Cary Tang Soo Do in June 2003. He tested and was promoted to 1st Dan under Grandmaster Jae Joon Kim in March 2006. He subsequently tested for and was promoted to 2nd Dan under Grandmaster Saul Kim in 2007. As a student of Tang Soo Do he has participated in several seminars and tournaments held by Grandmasters JJ and Saul Kim. Mr. Reu enjoys practicing martial arts along with his son, Tucker, who is also a 2nd Dan member at Cary Tang Soo Do. He finds the environment of the dojang and the practice of Tang Soo Do to be both challenging and a great stress reliever. Further, as a certified instructor, Mr. Reu is dedicated to the traditional teachings of the World Traditional Tang Soo Do Federation as originated in 1945 by Hwang Kee and passed along by Grandmaster Kim to Master Marsh and Cary Tang Soo Do.
